The Oaks Airport was originally built by the Royal Australian Airforce (RAAF) in 1942 as an alternative to the main airfield at nearby Camden. Today it is a center for recreational aviation and flight training offered through Dave’s Flying School and the Sydney Recreational Flying Club.
Looking to the future, a masterplan is currently being prepared, which subject to council approval, will create a multiuse aviation, leisure and commercial hub to support Sydney’s aviation sector whilst generating local economic growth and employment opportunities for The Oaks community.
